Invite teammates
Send tokenized invites, know what happens when someone signs up from one, and revoke or remove access without stranding an account.
Everyone who works your conversations needs their own account. Invite them by email from Settings → Members; there are no shared logins.
Sending an invite
Enter the address, pick a role, and send. The invite is a tokenized link that expires after 7 days.
Before you assign a role, the Members page shows a Roles at a glance capability matrix, so you can see what each role can and cannot do without leaving the page. The detail is in Roles and permissions.
Team size is enforced by your plan. When you are at the limit, invite a replacement only after removing someone, or move up a plan.
What the invited person gets
- Signing up from the invite link creates their account already verified and drops them straight into your workspace — no personal workspace of their own, no separate accept step, and they are signed in immediately.
- Signing up separately with an address that has a live pending invite creates the account and joins your workspace when they verify their email.
- An existing account opens the accept page, which handles being logged out or signed in as the wrong account.
Revoking and removing
Revoke a pending invite from the Members list at any time. Remove an active member from the same place.
Two protections apply and cannot be turned off:
- The owner role cannot be changed or removed.
- Nobody can remove themselves. Ask another admin.
Removing someone from their last workspace — or revoking their last pending invite — schedules their account for deletion after a grace window, and they are emailed about it. Creating a workspace of their own, or accepting another invite, before the window closes keeps the account. See Data retention.
